Help Your Child Learn to Read English with Confidence

Fonetic English makes learning to read easier—for your child and for you. It’s a simple, science-based system that helps children decode words faster, remember them more easily, and enjoy reading more.

And it does all this without changing how English looks. Your child will still recognize the same words they see in books, at school, and online—only now, they’ll know exactly how to pronounce them.

Why is English So Hard to Learn?

English spelling is famously inconsistent. Only about 25% of English words are pronounced the way they’re spelled.

This means children often have to guess, memorize irregular patterns, or sound out the same word dozens of times—just to make it “stick.” It’s frustrating, exhausting, and often discouraging.

But it doesn’t have to be that way.

Fonetic English Makes Reading Easier

Fonetic English adds a simple phonetic markup to each word—so your child knows how to sound it out correctly, character by character, with no guesswork.

Standard spelling stays the same—your child still sees real English words

Phonetic cues appear as superscripts—these show how each character sounds, not how it’s traditionally pronounced

Each superscript represents one of the 42 phonemes of English—so there’s nothing new to learn if your child already knows how English sounds

Fluency improves faster, because the system makes sense

Shape recognition transfers—once your child recognizes a word in Fonetic English, they’ll recognize it just as easily in standard English

Automatic transition—students move naturally from supported reading to independent reading in standard English

Did You Know?

English has 42 phonemes but only 26 letters—so letters often stand for multiple sounds.

The letter “u” alone can represent seven different sounds just in everyday words:

√bus , √bū…rý , √bűş…ý , pùt , qüick , ůşe , frñit

Fonetic English solves this by adding a superscript sound character to each letter. Your child no longer has to guess—they know exactly what sound to say. No rules. No exceptions. No confusion.

Because Fonetic English spelling aligns with how we speak, children usually only need to sound out a word 2 or 3 times before it becomes familiar—not 20 to 50 times like with irregular words.

Helps Children with Dyslexia and Reading Difficulties

In Italy, dyslexia is diagnosed far less often than in English-speaking countries. That’s not because fewer children struggle—it’s because Italian is a phonetic language, and many children with dyslexia can learn to read without any intervention.

Fonetic English brings that same clarity to English. Its consistent, phonetic structure makes reading easier for all learners—and especially for those who might otherwise need expensive tutoring or outside support.

Easy for Parents, Too

You don’t need to be a teacher to help your child succeed with Fonetic English:

  • You can understand the system in minutes
  • You’ll know how to support pronunciation and decoding at home
  • You’ll receive clear, daily reports on your child’s progress
  • You’ll stay involved, even if English isn’t your first language

Fonetic English includes word-by-word translation tools and pronunciation support, so you and your child can learn together—even in multilingual households.
